An acquaintance does what he calls community oil recycling. After he does his oil change the old oil goes into the recently emptied container, everything is wiped clean. When he goes shopping he leaves the container on the back of his ute in the car park and invariably the container disappears.
From the shipping calculator at freight consolidator shipito.com (I use them 2 or 3 times a year) airfreight for your 200lbs to say London W12 will cost $650 via Fedex. First though you have to get it to one of the shipito.com shipping centres which are located in CA, NV, OR.
And it was Coalbrookdale because by a fluke of nature and geology and the last ice age, the 4 main ingredients needed to make iron, i.e. coal, iron ore, limestone and clay were all there in exposed seams one above the other in the banks of the River Severn.
Don't harden 12L14
I recently need a quick and dirty 5/16" square drive to undo a bung. With this thread in mind I made 2 drives and hardened them both with Cherry Red, one drive from 12L14 the other from 1020. The leaded drive twisted, the 1020 item did the job, there was maybe 50 to 60 foot...

For other stuff I use shipito.com, an airfreight consolidator thats sends goods all around the world using DHL Fedex etc. Because shipito are exporting...

I was over there 5 years ago, and spur of the moment tried to buy Goodwood tickets online, but they would only sell them to me if I had a "pre-approved" or maybe it was "pre-registered" credit card. There wasn't enough time to go...
The collet chuck I show has a hollow 5MT and can take through stock up to the 20mm capacity of an ER32 collet. Its little different in concept to the more traditional 5MT/5C collet chuck.
This is an ER32 chuck and headstock through tube that I made for my generic 14 x 40 lathe a few years ago. It mounts in the the M5 taper in the headstock.
An ER32 chuck in the headstock holds work pieces just fine, but its slow and fiddly swapping work in and out.
I remember when I first got...
