    Update: I use Dolphin CAD/CAm which has worked just fine for my business... It already has the needed components for 3d printing. So unless I get into weird, sculptured stuff I'm good.

    Whoa...since Automation's unit is $5200 I would say they are bogus. Auto's unit is a true 15 hp output with single in.

    When you get to that level 10/15hp it would make sense that your not just operating one piece of equipment, hence you would be commercial and then of course you would have 3 phase.

    Pretty sure he's turning wood here.............. OP.... am I correct? Get a piece of ground shafting. Do as others have mentioned with two pillow blocks. Make the strongest base you can.

    Automation Direct has them, will run 15hp with single/ph input. But you're probably not going to spend the money..... :willy_nilly: We use their drives for equipment we sell, no issues for the years we have used them.

    Well....my buddy got me a copy of truespace ,I had no idea it was killed in 2009 :eek: Not learning that........ Checking with my cad/cam vendor to see what my options are.

    Moving here from the CNC thread. New printer on the way.....new to 3d. Found Truespace.....what else is out there that works without a major learning curve? Just need something simple, not doing exotic stuff.

    Took two days for Bambu to set me up as a business.... Money machine on the way....🤑 Dang just realized we had a dedicated section for 3d....duh.

    Compared to other situations a bit of sawdust on the ground is not industrial waste..... What about the logger in the woods cutting down the tree? He's making sawdust, same as around the hopper. one is "green" the other dry So what's the difference??? There is none ...other than needless...

    Well, I'm making money with my new X1 and I haven't even ordered it yet. Need to make spacers for a customer's build, was going to use PVC rod and lathe... Not anymore, print Baby print............:cheers:

    Well now I'm thinking he X-1 ..not that much more for the added stuff. Not buying for trinkets, will use for liners and other shop stuff. Prototyping parts, which we do a lot of...maybe print one first? Might not be exact but close enough to get the idea. What if I want a hex liner, well...

    Question...Bambu sells their own filament...$21 a roll So is PETG the same or does the $12/15 dollar roll substandard stuff?

    Son far leaning towards the Bambu PIP or the PIS.......I don't know enough yet to understand the need for the enclosure?
