Unfortunately I haven't been as succesful as others so I've had to dig into this a little deeper.

Hello Jeff,
Sorry for the late response, I don't get on here as much any more. I hope you got your FaroArm up and running on Win764 but in case you didn't I've attached my installation notes. Basically my experience is along the lines of Oleg's suggestion although I had difficulty registering...
Ox,
I apologize for the confusion. When I started this journey, 3 years ago, Faro still supported the older serial (RS232) Faro Arms (aka Gold, Silver, Bronze). Back then, Faro provided me with a copy of the free legacy software Caliper 3D (circa 1999). It took some tinkering but I was able to...
I’ve been using Faro Caliper 3D and exporting the coordinates. Inside cad I use lofts created from splines of the data points. It’s a tedious workflow but It works. I’m looking for the SDK and hoping to make an interface/ plugin that works with Fusion 360 or one of the other CAD packages I use...
Faro stopped supporting the serial Faro Arms. When I request information I'm told that it's old, we don't support it and we don't know where or if we have the software development kit. I'm hoping to find someone with a copy of the Faro Arm Software Development Kit from April 2001 or there about...
If I remember correctly, the homing cycle moves to the limit, finds the marker pulse, moves an inch and zeros. I think the marker pulse appears every .200" of travel. If you pay close attention to the display for the axis that is homing you might get a clue what is going on. When the marker...
Dan,
I've decided to try cutter comp at the control. After reading through the NC manual, it appears that I can use the tool diameter for compensation or perhaps use some kind of wear compensation although it's not clear.
I think, I've gotten it to sort of work with diameter compensation after...
Hurco BX Drip Feed
I've gotten mine to work flawlessly and now I program everything with Fusion 360. I did have to tweak the fusion post to work with my machine though. It's not uncommon for my programs to exceed 8000 lines. They drip feed just fine although when I'm hemstitching at over...
I only wish that were true! We get 5x5x5 bins from our recycler, if we leave them outside regularly they are empty in the morning. If it's a new bin there are provisions to padlock the lids closed which just means they will cut the locks off then climb in and shovel them empty.
Boeshield T-9 was my go to until I found Gibbs Brand. I use it around the shop by either brushing the liquid on or dampening a rag, wiping everything down, and then dry wiping if needed. It has met all my expectations and I'll soon find out if it has exceeded them.
10 years ago, I built a...
Hurco Desktop Programmer master tape (B Control)
ENG MASTER #11.10B1
DTP 32K OPTIONS
426-0005-010 03/04/81
How can I get it off of the cassette and save a copy to my computer?
Anyone have the BX version?
Sounds like you nailed it! Thanks for sharing your findings. Once I get the NC master anomalies solved with my machine I'm heading down the same path. I'm looking forward to hearing your about your drip feeding success too. Once you get things going, are you planning to hand code or do you...
