Don’t forget something in evaporated!

Checking floor inclination
So have an install application where the floor is supposed to be within 1/2 degree over an arbitrary distance (install can be arbitrarily long, 100+ feet certainly possible. Local variance (bumps divots etc) are supposed to be within +-20mm. How would you verify the floor before install... -

10" round galvanized ducting, vent installation cost
Ok classic make vs buy. Just got a quote for installing ducting to a big kitchen hood. 10" dia ducting quote is $850 installed. Now the installation is 8.5' horizontal, 90deg bend down to the hood, damper and rectangular to round transition for the plate in the vent hood. Seems wildly...- PaulM

Semi OT refinish brushed stainless appliances - scratch removal
Got a great deal on a used Wolf Pro range hood. There are some minor scratches I'd like to take care of prior to installing. Typical of appliances it's a brushed finish, obviously you go in the direction of grain. Question is what grades of scotch brute pads or wet/dry sandpaper to use... -

OT stores don't seem to stock 'standard" epoxy anymore.
You used to be able to get regular slow cure epoxy glue in any hardware, hobby, and even big box store. Well wanted some and it seems every store I go into has a load of instant cure adhesives but no old style standard cure 2 part. A couple has small dual plastic syringe with the integral... -

OT kitchen range hoods $$$$ make your own?
Have a long overdue update to our kitchen in the works and am just astounded by the price of range hoods. Will likely wind up with a 48" high output range so need a big hood capable of ~1200 cfm. Looking around the prices seem to start at about $1500 and go up from there. Seems kind of nuts... -

Wilton bullet vise - value if someone welded the jaws on?
Came across someone with a several Wilton bullet vises for sale, but on looking at them someone welded the jaws to the vise body on each one of them:eek: Not sur if it is even worthwhile getting one for about $50 given the state they are in. WTB round carbide inserts (for weights)
long shot but figure worth a try. Looking for large round carbide inserts. ANSI 8 or 10 which would be 1" or 1 1/4" need to have through hole so RXXA I believe. Obviously looking for scrap ones, dull or chipped edges are fine. Only need a few, let me know if you have something. Thanks Paul- PaulM

SIP PI-3 tilting rotary table - manual (anyone have one)?
Well the lunacy continues. Looks like I have a SIP PI-3 tilting rotary table on the way to go with the MP-3K. From the pictures it will need cleaning up, so the question if anyone happens to have the manual for one of these? I have the manual for the PD-3 (no rotary table just the manual)...
