i have a Turnex chucker. it has a very interesting history coming out
of the Brunson Optical Tooling company in the late '90s. its been an amazing
journey for my ambitions as a unique machine & the CNC paradigm it offered.
+1 ! many times over for the Greenfield museum experience.
my Grandfather had retired from Lear Siegler/National Twist drill
so my mom & the missery group trekked up for a family holiday
at Dearborn Inn. most holidays were spent at Williamsburg Village
but this time he wanted us to do...
I too, took the opportunity for a site survey.
the equation for chaos is sizable, unfortunately.
in my view the Olinger group are the group i am going to use as i have dealt with them in the past & they have always
been very intelligent about the customer, the job & the cost. after a phone...

took a month to get to this point
and
5 years later still can't decide on paint color . . .
i like this pewter look & my eyes certainly "feel" this unique visual texture --
but the logical part of me knows it won't work.
it is amazing how i feel when i approach this machine...
greetings Gbent,
appreciate the reply.
duly noted about the eventual target location & the need for the leveling.
the trailer is temporary while i wait for another friend & his heavy duty skid loader to get

OP,
the essence of cleanliness was brought up --- i would like to add
another cleaning aid . . .. Scotchbrite roloc wheels in a drill or an
air grinder. pricey . . . yes. try them & make a determination for
your cleaning tool choices.
and -
buying them by the box has brought my unit price...
greetings,
meet the new addition to my shop . . . .
and a bit of a story for a little interest -
picked up a couple of Di Acro 16g pan/box brakes and a Di Acro notcher.
all in pretty good shape & for fair money. however, came home without 1 of the 2
Di Acro 24" power shears . . . .... kind of...
was hoping someone would have some experience & shine their light forward.
thanks for your contribution.
my local distributor does offer some type of hard facing rod . . . . convenience is making it look a lot more viable.

great technique for my interest -
years building parts for Brunson Instrument theodolites & their older autocollimators . . . . .
but never, ever got the chance to take one of their technical classes featuring optical measurement techniques/practices.
those seats went only to high profile...
greetings,
have a customer who purchased an antique tool. now the repair/restoration
process begins. i have accepted the challenge to rebuild
a couple of broken gear teeth. the plan is to dip some er70s into
respective divots & slowly build up each gear tooth base profile.

a very intelligent start to your new machining interests.
it seems the water you have waded into is of less provincial portent

as a provincial machine owner (read M head & current Lagun FT1) --
your quick minded efforts to...
from the above reflections & stories
was i also on this path . . . ? . . . seems a lot of similar stories . . . .

hauled everthing from my granddad's farm after my grandmother moved into town.
my granddad was a...
