Old thread I know. I’m working on a 1612-3 with welder. The anneal function works fine but when I press weld nothing happens. So thinking the cutoff switch shown on the schematic is stuck open. What is the nature of the cutoff switch? Where is it located? What does it look like? Hoping I just...
Centerless grinding can do it. You say it has to go to the grinder anyway, let them take it all the way down. Doing that on a lathe is going to totally suck big time.
Hmm. Might not work for what I’m doing anyway. I need to set 5/32 round head iron rivets. Pretty small but if this is just one squeeze I’m guessing it’s more for small aluminum rivets.
Anyone know anything about these? This one is American Pneumatic Tool model 745. Connecting air it doesn’t seem to do anything at all. Is it supposed to hammer like a rivet gun or one squeeze type thing?
Thanks Stephen I was hoping this item was forum specific enough to be OK here. And double thanks to Dick Streff for the link. I once owned an Oliver 60 and a 90 saw bench. That was a long time ago. I somehow thought this fence was newer. Apparently not.
I have this Oliver tilting table saw fence. Not sure which saw it’s for I think 270 but don’t know. It pins to the table pin spacing is 15”. It sure doesn’t fit my 232. Can anyone confirm which saw? I’d like to sell this. Thinking $500. It looks like it’s been repaired but seems fine, see last...
Looking to sell or part out or scrap my Hauser 3SM jig grinder project. Looks like it was modified at some point I don’t know the history and have never run it. There are cut wires. Everything is in nice condition. I have the covers that are not shown. $800 for the whole thing. Loading is no...
I followed that link and as usual the devil is in the details. Reading the description you eventually get to the following statement: "First, you need the sanding belt hot press machine, and the professional glue for sanding belt;" These items are not included. So it's just a roll of mylar...
Oster 3D bolt threading dies. Some used some were new in the box but the boxes fell apart over time. Some look to have been resharpened, a few chipped. Looking to sell as a lot. Ten complete sets in the following sizes: 1-1/2&2-12, 1-1/4-7, 3/16-24, 3/4-10, 1/4-20, 1&1-1/4-12, 3/4-10...
Following up on this in case anyone cares. Someone suggested Calimers wheel shop. I found them on my own about a week prior to the suggestion but in any case it turned out to be a great idea. He bent 1” x 1-3/8” hickory to the needed diameter, 16 of them for $15.75 each including the material...
I have 3 transformers in use wired that way. Never heard a bang or clang. I did have to feed them with a breaker that was rated for twice the max amp draw of the transformer to keep the inrush current from tripping the breaker on startup.

I do not recommend this for the op’s application. He would have to make a leadscrew and nut, and I don’t know that it has 2” of...
The product sfriedberg is referring to is Vetcoa. Here’s one, no longer available but you get the idea.

They turn up occasionally but you need a different lead screw and nut for every thread. As the table turns it...
