Falcon Chevalier FCG-610 Desktop Tool and Cutter Grinder Lubrication Question

Hi guys. I've just returned from a long, exhausting trip to Germany (1500 miles) to pick up this grinder. I've found very few of these for sale around the world - the only one in my country was on auction 10 years ago. Having a super-small home shop this is the perfect grinder for me to...

Another Deckel In a Small Place

Hi guys. When I started looking for a Deckel, I wanted an FP1 with 40 taper. When they eluded my grasp, I suddenly had the winning bid on a 1966 FP2. I ended up building a small shop around it. Just 12 square meters, 2.7m x 4.7m. A few days ago a friend told me an FP1 was for sale locally. I...

    Thread of Deckel Manuals

Hi all. I recently acquired a flatbed scanner, so I finally made good on a promise I made last year. And I just got the urge to make a thread with manuals I have scanned myself. "wrench" used to sell a DVD and I'm not doing this to annoy him - if he should still care... But I scanned these...

FP1 Holy Grail in the German Bay Area...

Hi. I just saw this: Zwischenbock / Untersatz 2125 fur Deckel FP1 Frasmaschine | eBay If anyone would like to snatch it for their collection of Deckelstuff. It's a Buy Me Now object from a dealer, so I'm not destroying the chance of anyone, who lie in wait to snipe it. Cheers Erik

Oil in FP2 Vertical Feed Nut Cavity

Hi fellow Deckelites. In the German manual I got with my 1966 FP2, it says to fill up with 2 litres. But the same manual in the US says ½ a liter...... What to believe..... And I suppose it has to be filled slowly around the feed nut. I just emptied it - it was rather black, of course...

Hi guys. Usually we don't post about auctions here, but this is not a bargain.... Zwischengetriebe Feinbohrkopf oder Schleifkopf fur Deckel Frasmaschinen | eBay This buy-it-now auction is from a dealer who knows the value of what he's got. Anyone that wealthy here? I thought it fun to post...

    Grandfather of All Deckel Mills

Hi Guys. I know writing about an ongoing auction is tricky, but this is for the real collector only: A Deckel FP from 1918 on eBay ( located in Austria): Fr Unfortunately it's not complete - just the machine itself. No drive or accessories. So none of the regulars here should be interested...

Deckel FP2 oil nipples - which thread?

Hi guys. I am following Bruce's thread - and also others, that pop up because of his. I happen to have the same problem, although I hope the damage is just a recent mistake. Earlier I have looked at Ross's solution to the daily lubing, a one-shot oiler. Now I have a used one-shot oiler, so I...

    Hembrug DR133 or Chipmaster?

Hi guys. I have a Chipmaster, which I am giving a VFD instead of the variator. And it looks like a nice, well thought out lathe. More fun than the other Colchesters. Small feeds by belt, screwcutting through gears (of course the gearbox is used also). Main spindle by belt with clutch and brake...

    Table for my FP2

Hi guys. I have the opportunity to buy a like-new FP3 "kipp-schwenk" table to use on my 1966 FP2. On the basis that it's easier to handle than the real FP2 rable when it's mounted. And more sexy. It has 5 T-slots vertically with what seems to be 45 mm between them (vertically). So it will fit...

Myford 280 just sold on UK eb**

Hi guys. I once considered buying such a lathe, but I could find none. Back when I had a Super7 and was bitten by that particular bug. Now, while paying for the Colchester Chipmaster I just bought this evening I checked in to see how this auction went. And I was shocked to see a winning bid...

    Bolay 4LZ tailstock for sale....

Hi. I got this in an exchange deal with Oliver M, but it didn't fit my lathe (5LZ, 10 mm higher). This very sturdy tailstock uses Weiler/Boley 23mm collets and has a 4-spoke handle and a rack. Very nice condition, and it must have cost a bloody fortune from new. Reasonable offer or maybe...

Arboga - New gears from Sweden...

Hi guys. I just discovered someone who sells new gear sets for the Arboga E135. It may fit other models also. (I don't know if you have a spare parts problem) The advert I found is on a Swedish buy/sell website. If wanted I might be able to establish contact (send PM). (no - I haven't the...

    OT: Calling Doug Neaves....
