I was thinking of using the Sandvik CA type cartridge on a disc type fly cutter. Just wondering if anyone on here has done the same. It could be mounted on the face or on the outside diameter in a milled pocket with a drilled and tapped hole.
Wondering if there is information on the max RPM you...
I currently doing some work on my Colchester Mastiff and I have the oil tank out. This machine has a dry sump and the pump sucks it up from the oil tank. The coolant for the machine sits above the coolant tank. I have seen one of these Colchester tanks rust through before and there were some...
Yes I get your point, they have been using type 5 on the grinders forever. No one else has said they don't use this type of wheel. Bordo no longer makes this type of grinder.
I like the idea of the steel back.
Yes, I found some good videos on YouTube about this. It mentions o-ring stretch, gland fill percentage, and crush. Also for the last post that mentions parker ORD pdf, I've been looking at it for some time now. Excellent but nothing for us metric people.
Thanks
Hey Erich
I thought this might cause confusion but noticed it after. This book I have uses the same values for both applications, just imagine that is a piston and a tube without the face seal description. I know some have separate charts, but it's good that you noticed.
In regards to metric o-ring groove design, I have a male and female part that is 47mm (drawing attached for illustration purposes).
From the chart below for static 2mm oring
2.8-2.6 width
1.60-1.55 depth
Gives me a groove diameter of 43.9- 43.8
43x2 mm oring is available.
My question is how...

Look for advice on how to carry out the rigging on this Cincinatti hydromatic mill for lifting with a crane.
I cannot see any holes in the castings to place bars thru it from the photos. The machine ways approximately 5t.
This machine basically looks like a single sided duplex head machine.
I'm looking for a 12mm round tool in the form of a straight shank boring bar, with the indexable tip at the 90-degree approach angle.
The insert styles: CCMT and TCMT
Any manufacturers that you know will be of help
I'm making some cylinder shafts for a hi-ab crane jack legs for a truck, we can not get replacements. I know the pistons are welded on, not good from a maintenance point of view. My question is about the piston face having a recessed undercut, and the recess has a very slight dish to it. I...
