in general my life has been characterized by good luck--unless it involves the gaming table
year 1975 I was track doctor for the major Seattle blood horse venue--Longacres- and I weekly handed
$20 bills to self proclaimed experts to place bets --never saw a dime in return

year 2000-- one month in europe--tab being covered by very large multinational--S. Ag--included
a week in Monte Carlo at the casino/ Hotel de Paris complex--one evening in the casino cleared any preconception
created by all the Bond films shot there--I have had more enjoyable moments in autopsy rooms of morgues

but recent viewing of Marty Scorsese's 1995 film --Casino--revealed cause of my lack of games of chance fortune--
I never miked the dice--

Those fancy casinos were not built by the winners! In about 1997 or so flying home from a race somewhere we had an aircraft change in Las Vegas, everybody tossed a few bucks in the one arm bandits that were everywhere in the terminal. All us worker bee's lost, the team manager, huge salary, married to a multimillionaire trust fund baby won about 4 grand. That's when I knew life just is not fair.

On a similar theme, it appears that Rocket Racoon's life was saved with the help of things you can get from McMaster Carr.
