Listing for sale a 1967 Monarch 10EE in excellent condition.

We purchased the machine through an estate sale of an aerospace machinists pristine personal collection, brought back to our shop, set up and had a technician from our local machine supplier come out for the first start up and run through the machine. We've come to the conclusion this is ultimately too nice/intimidating for the very much not machinists that work here, we're a general fab shop, and we'd be better off with a bigger more modern lathe. Machine's been kept undercover the whole time its been here.

I'm not the expert so I'd recommend referencing pictures of the machine and the tooling included, but can try to answer any questions. Comes with a Mitutoyo 2 axis DRO, Hardinge 2J collet set, bunch of AXA tool holders and tools, some faceplates, (2) 4 Jaw chucks, steady rest, live centers, jacobs drill chuck

Machine is not currently hooked up or able to be ran but have a short video of it running.

Priced with this in mind and in the hopes of a quick easy sale. The lathe is on a skid and we have forklifts to lift it onto a flat bed.

We're located in Austin, Tx.

$11,000

In my opinion the price is a bit high. But maybe inflation has added $5k to what 10EE's are worth. I think the test is this: if it sells in a month it was priced right. If not its too high.

That looks like a really nice machine with nice tooling as well.
I am not interested but what needs to be done to power it up? For 11k I would think the buyer would want to run it to be sure all is good.

Yeah, at that price most buyers would want to be able to take a couple test cuts.

It's got the variable reverse speed for the ELSR... fairly rare option.

Image #'s 2107 and 2108 in the post at the end of the bed to the right.
I think that you mean the knob in the left-most position on the motor control panel that is on the right of the lathe base casting. Am I right?
I have a '61 ELSR 10ee that does not have such a knob.

Yup, the chicken head knob to the left of the coolant pump switch. It was an additional option on top of the ELSR option.
