'42 Round Dial Apron Assembly

kmsorenson,

Awesome post. As I am in the middle of my own apron teardown from a late 1944 round dial, this will certainly be referenced in both the balance of the teardown and the re-assembly.

Awesome job on detailing your work. I wish I had seen your photos with the numbered items years ago. I took apart several vintage woodworking machines and put items in plastic bags and labeled: “bandsaw”, not realizing I’m wasting time trying to determine where exactly on the bandsaw. I have the apron off my 1939 ee but haven’t taken it apart.
I don’t have anything to add except Keith Rucker has a Series of videos on YouTube regarding his refurbishment of a Vintage Monarch lathe. Although not an ee, it is interesting to view his rebuild of the apron, you may have already seen it.
