So I have a job to quote with 96 holes in 6061. I have an older mill with no tsc. I’ve rigged up rotary coolant adapters for insert drills before. Are there any type of tool holders available so I could use a stock coolant through drill? 96 holes per part with a potential for some quantities. I have a new mill coming but it won’t be here in time for this job.

96 holes isn't that much, unless you mean 96 holes per part in a long run.

96 total holes, no TSC, I'd use a cobalt drill and peck it.

OP does say "per part", but I agree that pecking might be fine. Especially if all he has is regular pump pressure (~60psi), which likely means still having to peck at the deeper levels.

I wouldn't use a cobalt split point here, I'd want an Al-specific drill, which should allow for better chip evacuation than a split point (which tends to "gum up" a bit at the split, creating more friction).

Thanks for the replies. Yes I just have regular pump pressure. It is 96 holes per part. Potential to do 100 parts.
