Hello, I have a haas vf0, it began having a 160 low voltage alarm, eventually couldn’t clear it and couldn’t use the machine.

I got a cnc service guy in… £2,500 later with several boards “repaired” the machine is worse off than before the “repairs” had been done, as now the screen was all corrupt looking after the boards had been fitted back in. The guy left and haven’t really got any further. They said that the video card had gone.. tried their spare one on… no difference. Then the front of the 3 stack, no difference, then the middle mocon board… this blew up, so put the original board back on and now the screen didn’t turn on at all and the speaker was beeping!

Tested the screen on another machine and it is working perfectly on the other machine.

I’ve got no idea what’s been replaced on each board and if it’s been done correctly as the screen hasn’t been on since all the boards have had the work so no idea if any alarms are still on.

I’ve paid the invoice and don’t have a working machine anymore still. No idea what to do as they just seem to be guessing with try a different board etc etc

Is there anyone that knows everything about this machine that can look and diagnose and fix it? Or is the machine just going to be scrap?

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for the reply and the link.. I had already found that, also many other similar threads with similar issues when the issue first started happening and before any boards had been touched.

I’m more hoping that there is some haas expert that is local enough to come and look as it’s almost at the stage where I can’t justify wasting any more money on this machine.

The I/o board doesn’t have any lights at all, the screen is black with the green power light still on and I haven’t been given any details on what’s been replaced on the boards ( I do have a few pictures before the repairs and can see a few changed components )

Thanks in advance to any future replies
