Big bending

The seventh top job I have worked on, honestly the easiest one to date. Yes, the plate was big, but it was mostly muscle memory tweaking it to close enough with eyecometer accuracy.

Probably hung a worker in a harness with a buffer, ran them up and down like peter pan.

My guess is the writer didnt understand the difference between installing the steel, and installing the corian, glass railings, and what ever else fancy trim pieces make it look so Star Trek. I cant imagine more than a week or two at most of a few guys to install the steel. Was it all site welded together?

Each section was feild welded. You can see the half circle helicals. Each helical was stringers, bracing, and pans fully welded.
Each field seam was full pen welded, why? Because the owners- not designers- are big on stuff like that.

Is this a functional staircase, or just a design element/optical illusion? In first pic it appears that between second floor and reception desk it becomes a single ribbon, and I'm not understanding how it could be functional?

To me, looks functional from the 2nd floor up, and only decorative from 2nd floor down to the lobby.

I wonder who did the Corian work. There are two fabrication shops really close to me that are capable of doing that with ease.
