I bought a large Bradford lathe from an auction just for some of the parts. Can anyone tell me where the serial number would be?
Can photos be dropped here from an iPhone?

I've got an old Bradford 14x6 I've been running for about a year. Good machine, just keep an eye on the apron clutch. I couldn't find a serial number on mine either. I looked at all the usual spots, I think I'm going to move the head stock this week and see if it is stamped under there.

This had the serial number on the screw chart. I believe it is 1154 but is very hard to read. If anyone needs anything off of it let me know.

Scan from about 1908. Its mate was recently scrapped in WI(?) - the CL ad saying to "come get it before the junkman"

By 1908 they had been building lathes for sixty years

I looked all over the thread chart, I couldn't find a thing. How many pulleys does yours have on the spindle? I can't really see. Good looking machine there!

If anyone is still following this thread, found the Serial number on my Bradford lathe yesterday.
On the right hand end of the bed, on the flat surface between the two V ways.
You might have to shove the tailstock up the bed towards the chuck, to get a good look at it.

All they list in the Serial Book is their various power hammers :D

This is it, seems to be from 1939.
All the plates showing feeds and speeds are in French.
So it was either supplied to a French customer, or a Canadian one!
Mac in Ireland.

Here is one a little less old. You can see it no longer has the "star knob" feed clutches on the apron

Additional - 1910 with quick change
