Cinci-Monoset Adapter Collet...3CH to 5C...

So, as has been discussed, Triple R Systems (TRS) made an adaptor collet for the Cincinnati Monoset, to go from 3CH to 5C, but they no longer carry it. This got me thinking.

TRS's adapter collet was made by Hardinge. That means that Hardinge must have named that collet something, if only to catalogue it for internal identifycation and records keeping.

My question is, what is the name for this collet? It allows the 3CH collet to accept 5C collets directly. I figure that if I'm going to acquire one of these mythical creatures, I'll have an easier time of it if I know it's name.

Is there any reason you're set on 5C? I just use a 40 taper ER32 collet chuck in my Monoset. Pops right in, taper is the same - and I use a piece of ⅝" threaded rod and a thick washer and nut on the tail end as a drawbar.

I can recommend MariTool, that's what I went with. Very happy with it.
