cnc help thread tips

Excellent, Willie! I've been thinking the same thing for a long time.

Another idea: if you've asked for help, finish the thread by thanking those that took the time to try to help you. This is simple common decency, but I've noted many new posters that ask for help, then never return to say thanks. Or, even to say that the suggestions DIDN'T work. We can learn from that, too.
so true...

HI all

looking for someone familiar with Siemens controllers and particularly 808d for a cnc router. we have a brand new BMC 1350 router and having issues with the WCS/MCS matching up with using both rhinocam and fusion. Its probably something really simple that my designer/artist brain is having a blindspot with but it it what it is. lol. anyone in the SF bay area that has experience that could lend a hand? we just keep getting Z software limit errors when we try to run a program. I come from a much more simple controller which of course was nowhere near as complex as siemens. oops.
Willing to pay someone for their time with money, beer, whiskey

cheers
Andre

Where are you setting the Z0 on your part, and where are you setting Z0 with your tooling?

Communication problems are everywhere. They stem from reliance on cell phones, American semantics, idiotic assumptions, use of emojis to express anything and the good ole internet and the wannabes behind the screen spreading fake/false/malicious information. All take away the critical human to human (face to face) interaction that once took place in this great country. Hell, I'm only 46 and I clearly recall the god ole days when someone's word had actual value. Frustration leads many to this site for assistance and they are frustrated while typing and well thought out communication has never came from a frustrated mind. Typed words on a thread can only go so far on most any platform. We as a society have lost touch with the human side of communication. Most humans do not have photographic memories and the vast majority of them learn by WATCHING another human being, period.

So yes, more pictures and more information on technical issues would help whoever's seeking help.
