Drum switch

Hello I'm looking for some help on wiring my Allen Bradley drum switch. I have a baldor one horsepower single phase motor I wired it to the diagram in the enclosed picture, the motor just hums and Spins very slowly?

My question isn't about phase conversions but i figured this board had the most knowledgable electricians. I converted my Rockwell mill to a single phase motor years ago. I have been running it with the original drum switch turning in one direction (CCW). I would like to wire it to reverse also...

Second BT's comment, make sure the motor is wired correctly for your voltage input (made that mistake before..). Note that your "line in" #1 and #4 are the same on the motor for 110 or 220, but the other wires inside the box on the motor must be hooked up per the diagram on the nameplate.
