Just got this machine, and the info with it suggests it was wired 440 volts.
There's no plate on the motor, and no obvious place where the motor connection wiring is accessible. The motor is a special built motor for this application.
I'm hoping the motor can be switched, like a typical US motor, as I need to change to 220 volts.
Does anyone know how to access these motor connections please.
Thanks
Bob

Got any photos? There's no junction box anywhere?

Also, I moved this thread to the electrical section of the forum, but I'll leave a redirect in Abrasive.

I thought about putting it there, all good.
No pics right now; I was hoping someone has some experience on this machine, maybe one of the Poms, as John.K would say.
There is an inspection plate about 6" sq on the column the motor sits on; maybe that's the way in.
Thanks
Bob.

if as you said the motor is special built i would expect it to have only 3 wires and not be changeable to 220
however it wont hurt to look under that plate below the motor, you might be luckier than i think
