Brand of machine: Aciera
Series of machine: F4
Size of machine: 16 x 7.5 x 18 (400 x 190 x 450 mm) travels
Style of machine: universal
Year of machine: 70s-80s

Input voltage: 220 single phase to two VFDs
Cabinet style: no cabinet
Color of machine: grey
Condition of machine: good
Major acc's: vertical head, horizontal overarm, 3-axis DRO
Primary use: hobbiest (engine models, parts for machinery restoration), prototyping (various inventions for my employer), lab mechanical test fixtures.
City, Country: SF Bay Area, California, USA
Comments: The machine is ex-Honeywell Aerospatiale, Quebec, Canada, via Procyon Machine. It had some bearing corrosion issues when it arrived, which I fixed. Canadian 575V motors were swapped out for new 240V motors. I had to modify the rear cover to fit the new spindle motor. The safety switch formerly on the side of the base was replaced by a Hoffman enclosure containing two VFDs. The machine is nice to run, though ergonomics are a bit strange to me. Nevertheless, the Deckel FP2NC is nicer to run. I also have an Aciera F2.

Comments: This was formerly a government institution machine. I purchased this machine at a public auction. I'm pretty sure Deckel didn't make an FP4 in 1985. So either you got the year or the model wrong.

I just unloaded this from the delivery truck an hour or so ago and peeled off the shrink-wrap. Man, I just love the German mechanical aesthetic!

Brand of machine: Deckel FP2LB
Style of machine: Seriously cool
Year of machine: Don't know yet
Serial number of machine: 0513
Measuring standard: Imperial
Taper: ISA 40
Control model for NC's: N/A
Input voltage: 220/3ph, ~3HP
Cabinet style: Electrical box? External
Color of machine: grey/green original, paint worn on top of ram and heavy checking on the base, but otherwise very nice - wouldn't consider refinishing at this point.
Condition of machine: nice original condition, .020 or less backlash, table shows a couple of operator errors, but most of the original scraping is present.
Major acc's: Came with a variety of tool holders, arbors, misc.
Primary use: Hobby, custom gunsmithing, prototyping some ideas which may have commercial applications.
Comments: A little overwhelmed by this machine and could very much use any documentation available for operation, maintenance, parts, etc. I like the big, heavy, stationary table just 'cause, but also for mounting a rotary cross slide table, big B&S dividing head, etc. Pictures once I move some stuff and get it up and running in it's place of honor in front of a big window.
