FANUC 18i controller digital input issue......

Hi friends,
FANUC 18i digital input issue......

We Have A Robofil wirecut EDM works with FANUC 18i controller. we are facing missing of digital inputs to the controller.
1. The controller is connected to input output modules via Interface module AIF01A.It has a 32 DI module in 5th slot.
Machine uses X8.0 to X11.7 32 input addresses. X8,X9,X10 byte 24 inputs are not functioning. byte X11 all 8 inputs are functioning. monitored the input status from diagnose status menu.( we confermed the input voltages present at the input terminals also).
2. We suspected the input module was defected and chanched with a new 32 DI module. but the condition is same. only the 8 inputs of X11 byte is functioning. all other inputs allways shows 0 in status menu . in ladder monitor mode also those inputs are not funtioning.

How can only 8 inputs are functioning in same DI module but not other 24 inputs? (after replacing new DI card).

what can be the issue.?

Each byte of input can be configured as sink or source depending on whether the common pin is +24V or 0V. If a ground is bad or a 24V power is bad or a broken wire or connection occurs it would behave as you are seeing.

Search the web for a copy of manual GFZ-63003EN. This is the hardware connection manual and contains useful information for troubleshooting your problem.
 
Each byte of input can be configured as sink or source depending on whether the common pin is +24V or 0V. If a ground is bad or a 24V power is bad or a broken wire or connection occurs it would behave as you are seeing.

As you said we looked in to it and we found X11 byte was current sink type and +24V was given to common terminal, from main 24 power supply module . and X8,X9, and X10 are current source type. we found the common supply -24V for X8, X9,X10 are not present. It comes from a separate smps power suppy. the smps power suppy out had a loose connection. rectified it and problem solved. thanks to you agian friend.

If you could do me a another favor, now machine inputs are working but following alarms displays and want reset.
X AXIS VRDY OFF
Y AXIS VRDY OFF
U AXIS VRDY OFF
V AXIS VRDY OFF
Z AXIS VRDY OFF

we checked the PSM CX4 emergency loop connector continuity . its closed. the 24v signal is present. but still the main contactor (MCC)is not energizing through CX3 . when CX3 is bypassed with a wire the contactor gets on. but still alarms are present.
what can be the issue?
