I have a little bit of experience with this on plastic. Process where the image is floated on water then transfered onto the part. I have a client with a extruded aluminum trim piece that they want decorated with a marble finish. I have a vendor, but am concerned with a few things and hope that some of you guys and gals have done this.
One it durability , this will be in a wet environment, and It can not chip or flake off.
What is the ideal prep proceedure?
There is an inside channel that will have a sliding plastic part, I guess this will have to be masked off. Will I have problems with the masked edge? Ie will there be a ridge, chipping, etc?
Any input from experience will be appreciated.
Thanks
