FP-1 for sale in England- good price?

Hi Stew and Tien

I've been reading your thread and thought I better add my two cents.

I have a deckel jig boring head and it will not fit any of my fp1's without a special riser block. If anyone has been able to do this please respond

Crap- I already bought the head (Ebay). I suppose making a riser block will be worth the effort. Is it to get the proper engagement with the driving gear? I don't need to put the machine into service right away, so I have time to tinker. We'll see-

I agree with Mark, I have the jig bore head and it needs the 4" riser to adapt it to the FP1. I believe the dovetail is longer on FP2-FP? heads. The gear ratio is 1:1 on the riser.

Stew-

I have a pic of a riser block for the jig borer. It will also "not" fit the deckel fp1 as I have tried, so be careful even if you think you have found the correct riser.I'm not sure how to post the pic????? If I don't figure out how to post it ,I'll e-mail you .

Well in fact, my DECKEL litterature mentions a riser block for the jig-boring head, but it doesn't seem to be the same as the one used to adapt the grinding head.
Neither did it mention that it was compulsory..
Sorry if I misled someone, fortunately, there are plenty of DECKEL specialists here (but after all, that's what this forum is all about isn'it?!)

Ok- so anyone who finds a riser block knows they've got a sucker to sell it to! Maybe the dude will post the riser on Ebay in two weeks when I'm not looking...
