South Bend Vertical Knee Mill - 32" Table w/Powerfeed
Album of Pictures
This is a vertical knee mill very similar to a Bridgeport Mill from ~1965.
I purchased this from a local school and was going to keep it but just don't have the room. It operates on 3 phase, currently wired for 208V.
It uses 30 Taper tool holders and includes a tool holder and double taper collets. These do not use a drawbar, but rather set screws on the nose of the spindle.
This has the very rare x-axis mechanical powerfeed which uses a quick-change gearbox similar to those from the SB Lathe. It is in good working order.
It is currently under power and can be demonstrated.
Asking price includes everything pictured including
-4" Palmgren Machining Vise with Rotary Base
-5/8" T-Slot (1/2" Stud) Fixturing Kit as pictured
-Quick Change Tool Holder + Basic Collets
-2" Straight Shank Indexable Carbide Face Mill
-5' 12/4 SOOW Power Whip
