Help Identify this Little bench top drill press

Have this drill press and cannot figure out the maker. It is about 14" tall. The belt you see is 1/4" and is same as a sewing machine uses.
There is a rack/pinion to run the head up and down. Power is transmitted by a keyed shaft from the belt driven 1:1 gear box. Millers Falls chuck is on it and no other casting or stamping that I can find yet.

I've got a similar one sitting in a closet in my basement. It was my grandfathers so I haven't been able to bring myself to chuck it despite it not being very well made or particularly useful. I've always just assumed that the design was popular at the time and made by a number of small outfits.
