Help Needed Identifying my South Bend Lathe

Hello Everyone,

I am new here. I just picked up a South Bend Lathe. It is in excellent running order, but I am having a real hard time identifying it. I hope someone could help me out. I have looked up all the ID sites and have not found an exact explanation (but I am new at this).

I was told by the previous owner that it was a SB 9A with a metric lead screw. After buying some books and doing some more reading, I now believe that it is actually a SB 10k Metric.

Cat. No. 'CL 7707 M' or 'CL 770 ZM' (see pictures)
Bed Stamp 36007 K

From what I can read, it is from the late 70's / early 80's. How would I find out more? The previous owner sent for the card, but it is wrong. it says that it is a 9A.

p.s. I am missing the head stock cover and thread chase dial. So if you know where one is...

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Metric 10k with v-belt pulleys, looks like someone appropriated the original factory cabinet.

Headstock cover and thread dial, ebay. Lots of 3d printed thread dials these days for reasonable money.

Headstock cover shouldn’t be too difficult but the metric thread dial is very special.
