The machine i am working on has the same carrage.
Face plate is still stuck though.
Going to invest in some dry ice to ty to shrink the inside of the spindle.
I appreciate all the interest so ill post more picktures soon.
You may be able to free the thread with strong heat on the outer edge of the faceplate,like a rose tip ,while keeping the inside cool ish...........i know this method is powerful enough to break spokes in old engine flywheels.

The faceplate is the heat sink but the spindlewall is less than 1/4" hence the dry ice to cool the inside.
I tried canned air did not work.
