How many horsepower is this motor?

A little hard to read in the photo but it is:
220V
3.2A
3 PH
I found a couple of calculaters online but they are asking for power factor and motor efficiency which I don't know.
I'd guess the motor is from the 50s if that helps.

I'll take the first guess. 1HP. More knowledgeable people will no doubt have more authoritative answers.

Electrical Engineering Pocket Handbook for 3 phase 1750 and 230V gives 3.6 FLA for 1HP respectively

Could be either an efficient 1 HP, or a typical 3/4 HP. The 220V rating means it will run to the high side on current for it's power, so the power may be lower than the current seems to show.

"normal" older motors would be 3.2 A for 3/4 HP 230V, 4.2A for 1 HP 230V, in my tables.

I would put it at 3Hp for 8.2 A..

A 2Hp I have is at 5.4A
A 5Hp is at 12.
Another 5Hp (old motor) is at 14.2

I just replaced a 3/4 hp Westinghouse from early sixties with a new 1 hp Dayton. Both nameplates say 3.0 amps @ 220V.

OK, you got me.... I saw 3, it seems to be an "8"!
