Good afternoon, we bought a ‘96 Hyundai hit with Siemens 840c control this summer and finally have a chance to start setting it up. Our tool eye broken and is turned off in the control.
I’m looking to pick up an od tool without the tool eye.
Do I pick up the tool then the z zero?
The book is having me get a # from the jaw shoulder ? (I believe it’s the face of the chuck from what the manual is describing)
It looks like all my z #s and offsets are driven from machine zero not part z.
Little different then the okumas I have run.
Any help from someone with experience that can help with explain this manual would be great .
