Greetings,

This is my first post here, I'm a hobby machinist that recently joined a heavy equipment manufacturer as a buyer/procurement specialist. I'm working through my network to locate some specialty shops, and a friend of mine who runs a small machine shop said I should post here to look for leads.

I am looking for:
A machine shop that can work with 304SS Cylinders of up 20' in length and 20" in diameter.
Fabricators who can create various sized weldments from 304SS.
Must be at least ISO 9001 certified.
Location in the USA is a huge plus.

Thanks,

Brian

ETA: I have a RFQ ready to send to a capable shop for the machine work after a NDA is signed.

Location ?

Thickness's ?
Food grade ?
Nooklear grade?
Pressure vessel ?

What's your employers payment plan ?

Location ? Wisconsin

Thickness's ? 3/8" wall seamless tube, up to 12" diameter 20' lengths (I was told 20", Just got to take a close look at the drawings this morning.) multiple machined flats and features, multiple D&T'd holes.
Food grade ? no
Nooklear grade? SRI/ISO9001 minimum
Pressure vessel ? no.

What's your employers payment plan ? TBD

Payment details is "TBD" ?????
I'll wager the quotes you get will be a wee bit higher than normal.

Azco in the fox cities does nice work.

Wisconsin has quite a bit of SS fab work being done as we have a lot of dairy and paper processing in the area. It should not be hard to find a vendor, lead time is a different story.

Thanks! I'll give them a look.
