yes, but make sure you use delicate pads. I prefer the red or green for aluminum. Even the red 3M pads can be to aggressive with alu.

Green=good.

Yes, red is too much on aluminum. Use BLUE. Red is good for steel or stainless. We also use the orange 120 grit ceramics for heavy burrs after face milling on the K&T.
