Tried to edit an existing programs code and got a 070 alarm. Don’t understand why. Not trying to add a new program etc. The machine errors out when I try to enter a Y address, but it will let me add a M00 in the same block. Please help.

Don’t believe that is the actual problem. I’m not adding anything extra to the memory, just editing an existing block. I will try tho

I see it kinda like this. Take your home computer and fill its memory up to within a couple few bytes. Maybe even a couple kilobytes. You can bet it's going to start acting buggy or start complaining.

by editing you change size of existing block. making it not fit. M00 is just 3 bytes, Y coordinate at least has coordinates that are more symbols than 3 of m00

Try condensing if its available on your control
It will clean up unnecessary spaces and crap in your programs in creating space
