Metric threading on a late Pacemaker?

I wish the picture would have come out more clearly tomorrow I will try again.I believe the upper lever is the thread/feed switch and the lower level is English/metric. I know not everyone has the room or money, but if you get a chance to purchase one it also has dial mics on every handle. English and metric. I'll try to get a picture for you.

You are correct about the levers being where they are. I also noticed that we have a Pacemaker with the boys also. But it doesn't have the building car behind the swinging for. I don't have very good service at the shop will send pictures later.

Here is some more pictures.

Could I get the serial number of your lathe by chance? I am going to contact Bourn and Koch to see what parts breakdown they might have for the gear train. I want to see if it's feasible to recreate exactly the same setup you have their- Make the gears and shafts, machine the feed housing for the additional parts and make a new cover for the change gears.

You can see at least SOME dual purpose machining was done on the older QC boxes - page 20 (English) shows a E502 bearing adapter replaced on page 22 (Metric) by a E499 bearing - in Bul. 20 linked to on first page of thread

I have a F stye drawing showing what is likely to be done on purpose - a gear ratio between feed rod and lead screw - a 33 turning a 26 tooth gear pair. Their ratio is 1.26923 to 1. 127 and 100 - (a common transposing pair) make a ratio of 1.27 to 1

I'll see if I can copy this 15 X 16 1/2 drawing for you. It has no index for the many part numbers shown. It is stamped DISCARDED 12 / 6 / '55 - suggesting later PMs were improved

Here is a try on copying. These can be emailed if you want the "big" versions. PM me an address if you like

Sure can but I won't be back to the shop until Monday. Will do it then.
