Moly grease replacement in old Howa 320-VCJ?

New member. I picked up a 1996 Howa 320-VCJ machining center recently. 24 years of hard use with tons of goop+chips, but critical surfaces all appear to be in good shape. Machine has been stripped and cleaned. Linear guides have been re-built with new wipers. I want to leave the ball nuts intact.

Previous owner used a lithium black moly grease that is still pretty soft. I'd like to run Mobil XHP 222 lithium complex grease and get rid of the black moly on rails and ball screws.

Would it be safe to pump new grease into the lines, pushing the old moly out, until I see new grease at the guide and ball nut seals? I'd run the machine in slowly after I did that.
