Recently picked up a PH-350 and am wondering if there is a specific procedure for transporting it? Search did not bring anything up.

I'm assuming you mean the Mitutoyo Optical comparator, but I only know that from a Google Search. Alternatively with that same part number, it could be a Maxon rotary phaser, a Jet 350 mm cold saw, or a few other machine tools. Titling this "moving procedure for an optical comparator" or whatever this is might get you more responses.

Apologies, figured since it was in the metrology section it would be clear enough. But you are correct, I am asking about a Mitutoyo PH-350 Optical Comparator.

Seeing as this isn’t getting any responses, have you tried contacting MIT? If all else fails there are a few other threads here that mention some pitfalls of moving optical comparators. I think most of them revolve around not damaging the bulbs or mirrors, but I’ve never had to move one myself.
