Need 10ee forward/reverse switch

I did ask if they had any good used ones (they didn’t) but never asked for a new price..

I'm surprised its not repairable.. When I took mine apart, I didn't see anything that couldn't be fixed. Just a though. Don

I don’t have one to repair- my machine has ELSR with no tumbler switch. I’m currently using a micro switch in the ELSR control to turn the lathe on and off but I preferred the tumbler switch on my last 10ee

My ELSR is disabled, just using it for a switch to send a start signal to a dc inverter.

The lathe had the drive gutted and repowered before I got it unfortunately.. it’s a dc motor with no backgear. Motor is powered by a baldor dc inverter with single phase input. Top speed is about 1500 rpm but should be 4000. I might repower someday but it works for now. Spindle start and stop was via a switch in the original power on off location and speed control via a pot above it- see pics. I didn’t like bending down and getting chips in my face to stop the lathe so I rewired it to the ELSR control on the tailstock end.

The Baldor drive is probably only giving you armature control. You need field control to get the motor above base speed. (About 690 RPM at the motor for an OEM Reliance DC motor). There are several things that you can do to get higher speeds with a drive that only controls the DC motor's armature.

It’s a 3hp 1750 rpm motor - here is my dog licking penetrating oil off the side.. delicious
