New to me Hendey 16x6

Just had to take one apart I was given, the spindle was stuck so tight we made a pusher to match the thread on the leftmost endcap. Just a bore that threads on the endcap, then a smaller thread with a taper at the end to drive the spindle forward. Have to make certain the lock nuts are loose first and you have everything as far apart as you can get it before hand. I can send pictures if you like.

Thanks Shipp for the info! So I found a old thread and gave it a shot. This person let the lathe run for 4 hrs. To my Suprise this actually worked. I ran it now on the highest setting and I cannot believe how smooth the spindle turns now. I have zero side to side or in and out play. I did notice at the higher speed the spindle is flinging oil. Could be I over filled it?
Also the idle gear I fixed is working perfectly!

Good for you man, that's awesome. You may have overfilled it, but on mine I have little brass caps on the casting to keep it from happening. I just had a kid, so I don't have mine back together yet.
