Just acquired this Rivett 608 and brought it home. this Machine was built in 1921. It came with 3 and 4 jaw chucks, collet closer, steady and follower rests, gears for both metric and inch threading. Also came with all of the paperwork since it was purchased including quotes, catalogs and all correspondence associated with machine throughout its lifetime. I’d like to think it was a good find.

Hey, I too was just given a Rivett 608. The gentleman is giving me all the collets, 3,4,6 jaw chucks and a Bunch of other things. All it needs is a new motor.
That’s awesome! Such a great little lathe. I found a broken tumbler gear and I ended up repairing a broken tooth on the back gear shaft. I have disassembled the spindle and have removed the broken tumbler gear. I ended up repairing the broken tooth on the back gear shaft. Now I need to finish the cleaning and hopefully in a day or two, I can start putting the spindle back together.
