I'm looking at getting a new PDM system. Needs to handle Solidworks and Office.

We're a small company, so fancy search/reuse features aren't of much value to me. The big thing I'm looking for is version and configuration control. For example, we make some test stands for the Air Force and deliver about one a year and make changes each time to improve manufacturability. I need a good way to tell what parts/revisions were included in the test stand shipped to a certain Base.

Options include:

Solidworks PDM: On the plus side, it's included with Solidworks. On the minus side is that I don't like it. I find version control to be clunky and annoying.

Keytech: I used this at my last job and really liked it. It's great at version/configuration control. The only downside is cost. The initial setup costs are high.

DDM (DesignDataManager): Looks interesting, haven't used it before. Pricing is reasonable.

Kenesto: Cloud based, looks good in their videos, haven't used it. Reasonable pricing.

Does anyone have any thoughts on these or other options? Thanks
