Probe Extension for Mitutoyo Surftest 212

I can't seem to find the part number for a older Mitutoyo Surftest 212 probe extension cable. This is the round connector on both ends with 6 pins (not the 12 pin data output cable) so you can mount the probe on a height gauge for easy use. We had one at the old shop but I can't get a hold of anyone over there that cares to help. I figured I'd ask here and then try calling Mitutoyo for support if no one here knows. I'm also going to need to source one so if anyone has a good metrology vendor they use I'm all ears.

Sort of a round about way to do it, but if you don't find anything elsewhere you might try Digikey. At a minimum you could find the connectors and wire, but they may have the cable as well. Of course it won't be listed as a Mitutoyo product so you'll need to figure out what the actual standard is.

Part number 353130 for 40 inch long, 352958 for 80 inch long.

Thanks, Bob. Looks like they are long obsolete from Mitutoyo. I also reached out to my normal metrology repair vendors and they all said the same.

Time to take a look at making my own as jccaclimber suggests.
