Puma HC10 chucking direction keyswitch not working properly

Hello Everyone, I have browsed this forum for a while now. and have always been able to find the answers I was looking for in past threads. the info on this forum is irreplaceable.

I have been tasked in running an old Puma HC10 with a Fanuc series o-t control, at some point in the past the parameters were all lost. most have been restored

The problem I am having is, the chucking direction switch on the control doesn't do anything, the green light is always on no matter if the chuck is open or closed, or what position the switch is in. and I can cycle start with the chuck open or closed.

does anyone familiar with this control know of a parameter that makes the control bypass the chucking direction?

If I use mdi to open or close the chuck it will throw a code 23 or 24 for chuck clamp over time depending on what direction the keyswitch is on, so the switch is working.

any insight on what the solution to this is would be much appreciated.

thanks

There could be myriad things going on.
If the prox switches aren't adjusted right, the light will illuminate whether it's clamped or not, regardless of direction.
I would start there.
