Rivnut Dimension Question:
The aluminum rivnuts that I have have a max grip length of .12 inches. I will be installing in 1/8" thick metal. 1/8" converts to .125 inches. I tested on a piece of 1/8" hardboard and it grabbed and had a small neck. The rivnut hole is drilled to manufacturer's spec. Again, I will be using 10 rivnuts and hanging a very light piece.....definitely under 10 pounds.....closer to 5 pounds.
Too risky or go for it?
