Republic Lagun Lathe With Bandit CNC

Hi All!

I have a Republic Lagun 16 x 36 Lathe from 1978 with a Bandit CNC Controller from 1980.
I'm learning to program it and it was working well until I messed up and the Z axis went and hit the limit switch. It did not hit the chuck or anything just turned off like it's supposed to.
But now it looks like the limit switch is stuck because you can't reset it.
I tested it on the X axis and there it works fine, when you hit the limit it stops but then you can reset it and jog it back.
So I cranked the Z axis by hand but still no luck. Then I started looking for that limit switch and it seems like there is none! Not for X or Z.
The servo has a resolver and another component that are gear driven on the back of the servo.
I cleared all possible programmed stops on the controller but it seems more and more to be rather a hardware issue.

So I'm not sure if there are extra hidden limit switches somewhere on the bed I have not found or maybe the other component next to the resolver is a limit switch somehow that limits the amount of turns the servo can do in either direction?

Does anyone know anything about these old systems?
Your input is much appreciated. Thanks!
