Reversing the reading on an older Mitutoyo DRO?

I have a horizontal boring mill with an older 2 axis Mitutoyo DRO on it. One scale is on the Y axis (vertical head travel) and it currently decreases numerically as the head is raised. It is counterintuitive to me and I would like to reverse the read if I can. I can post a picture of the head if need be. Thanks!

Probably going to need a picture or model number. Here's the way for the 572:

All of my older Mitutoyo units have reverse switches inside as eKretz shows. You need to check inside cases anyway for leaking backup batteries

If it really doesn't have a switch, swapping A & B signals in the plug would probably do it.
