Thanks, I did read the post from the Yankee Mechanic. Somehow I never put the Silver and Deming drills together with the Silver Mfg drill press I have. The Yankee mech leaves research on that subject to others on the web, so now I can hope the drill bit manufacturer has a history that includes the drill press and they must have advertised it back in the dazes, that's gotta be somewhere on the web. I still believe the press was built by a major machine tool builder and sold by Silver under their name. This thing might have fought WW1.
