Hi All:
I spent a bit of time today trying to find a 35 degree 1/4 IC 0.2mm tip rad sharp (no edge hone) turning insert from the Sandvik website.
Man what a useless site!
I do this every once in a long while and I'm always pissed off at the end of it...is it just me or is this site cumbersome for others too?
Almost every bit of information I need to have is hard to find...I can get to the inserts that have the correct shape, but finding out whether or not they're edge honed or dead sharp for aluminum and plastics...no joy.
It's like if you don't already know the code for the insert you want, Sandvik is certainly not gonna make it easy for you to pick something suitable.
If I could hit someone at Sandvik on the head for setting up such a stupid site, I would!
I'm going to call a tooling sales guy at my local distributor and just dump the whole effin shit into his lap.
Let's see how he does!
Cheers
