The original has one straight edge and is hardened for scraping off burrs, but this has more radius checks.

Exactly right. I prefer a slip stone for burrs and thought that an additional radius check is more useful.

This thread is 2 years old. Talking to the original poster? I told Boax to eliminate the 140 and replace it With 40 as the sharp edge works good to deburr irron and de fuzz turciute.
