Southbend Clutch conversion?

I ask this of people that have don the conversion or is skilled in this area.
I would like to put a pivot handle clutch set up on my 11" SB lathe.
The 11" is unique to its own apron casting as I think most SBs are.
My apron in the double wall star knob "R" Model.
I Have no problem with the clutch , it works fine and all parts are good , but would rather use the easier Knob type.
Now I bout 2 Heavy 10 clutches, or so it was told to me they were.
One was the star knob and one was the pivot handle type.
Both were the same size with everything the same but the knob parts.
They were smaller shafts and gears than my 11".
The 11" I know was never made with a pivot handle , that came long after the 11 was quit being made.
I would like to know if it is possible to convert what I have on my 11" and using piece of the 10" clutch to do that?
Or if a 13" clutch would fit my 11" for a complete trade out?
Or if these clutches I now have are just from a light 10" ?
Anybody with information I appreciate it.
Thank you
Ron

Ron,

I'm not sure if you can intertwine the toggle cam between machines. Reach to Ted Pflugner (SBLatheman), he would know.

Granted this thread is ten years old but wishful thinking that it would be nice to have the lever type clutch on my 9 inch. The star wheel can be a pain at times.

Yea, I was thinking of a larger knob.
Just have to make sure it doesn't interfere with the carriage handwheel.
