Importing steel must be an involved process with knowing where to get it from and the quality control of it. I'm pretty sure only a small amount is produced here. I'm wondering were companies like Home - voestalpine HPM (Australia) Pty Ltd import their specialised steels from. The PG 4140 bar ground to h9 tolerance, euro norm hollow bar, 1020 cold rolled bar, K1045 black bar. Just putting this out there to learn more from other people. What are some of the quality control differences from different countries and where is it viable to import from to what the end-user wants to pay?
