We work with several different sizes of sheet/plate and have to constantly switch around, so we often have to move it off of the pallet so we can swap them.

That shop had about 10-12 different thickness plates & materials, each in its own stack on its own pallet. Took up a lot of floor space-all those pallets of sheet spread out by the shear. It was manufacturing their own products so always the same materials.
